America’s Rehab Campuses is a fully-licensed, caring, and safe facility, helping people suffering from addiction to heal and recover from their condition. Our drug rehab center is located in Tucson, AZ and accepts most AHCCCS and PPO insurance policies.
What is the difference between inpatient and outpatient therapy?
Once you’ve chosen a licensed rehab center, you will have two options in front of you. You can either join their residential rehab program or get outpatient treatment care. Many times, this largely depends on the severity of your chemical dependency and co-occurring mental disorders.
With an inpatient rehab program, the recovering addict stays in the facility from a month to as long as six months depending upon their progress in recovery. Inpatient rehab is expensive, disrupts everyday activities like school or job, but it is highly successful, as you will remain safe from any distractions. This type of rehab is highly effective in treating severe cases of addiction.
Outpatient rehab offers the recovering addict the freedom to stay at home and participate in treatment for 1-2 hours every day. This is more affordable while still allowing the patient to maintain a regular daily routine. With 10-12 hours of rehab sessions per week, this treatment is best for cases of mild addiction. Outpatient rehab can take anywhere between 3 and 12 months for complete recovery.
What is equine therapy?
We are one of the few drug rehab centers in Tuscon, AZ, to offer equine therapy, a treatment that involves horses. People suffering from addiction partake in this therapy for mental relief and spiritual empowerment. While many see horse riding as a luxurious sport/hobby, equine therapy consists of actually arduous work.
Equine therapy helps develop relationship skills for those in recovery. To work with a horse, you need to build trust with the animal first. This process develops skills like balancing the emotional display, improving confidence and assertiveness, understanding boundaries, enhancing focus, and being resilient, while getting rid of negative thoughts and emotions.
Intervention for drug addiction
An intervention is a conversation that you can have with your loved one battling with addiction in the presence of an intervention specialist. An intervention allows a loved one or a family member to express their feelings constructively to the addict. This helps the addict to understand as to how their actions affect their loved ones. The goal of an intervention is to help a struggling addict get into a rehab program or a rehab center.
Intervening for a loved one can be difficult, especially when the individual persistently denies drug usage, and rejects any form of help. However, if the victim shows signs of secretive behavior, financial issues, problems at work or school, or depression, contact an intervention specialist to advise you on how you can help.
